The most important thing you can do to help is SPAY AND/OR NEUTER your pets. There is a huge overpopulation issue in the US, and it is especially felt here in the south.

Last year, 8,710 pets went through our local shelter, Rutherford County PAWS. Only 40% of those pets were adopted or saved by rescues like Almost Home.

PLEASE, SPAY AND/OR NEUTER YOUR PETS!

In an effort to help petowners through short-term financial setbacks, Almost Home is partnering with the Murfreesboro PETCO store to offer "We Are Family Too" foodbank program.  The purpose of this program is to provide free dog and cat food to owners who do not wish to surrender their pets, but who need temporary assistance in providing food for them. 

**This program is not intended for feral or stray pets, and is not available to breeders. 

If you would like to donate food for this outreach program, please purchase food at Petco and drop it in the donation bin.  UNOPENED food from other retailers can also be brought into Petco and dropped off in the bins.  We are also accepting paypal donations for this effort - please paypal funds to mary@almosthomerutherford.com  and indicate "We Are Family Too".
